Kasta Morrely is an international
cultural organization of human rights defense through promotion of competences and qualifications
necessary for the development of a
democratic society. Kasta Morrely’s
mission is to promote European democracy values and civilization through programs and projects of interest for the sustainable development of the community.
Kasta Morrely association implemented in February – October 2012 the European project "Volunteering versus Unemployment". The project
has been funded with support from the European Commission through Youth in
Action Programme.
The main
activity of the project was the European Training "Volunteering versus
Unemployment" that took place from 10 – 19 march 2012 in Iasi, Romania.
The European Training approached the main themes importance of volunteering and combating
unemployment. The participants were representing
partners from Albania, Azerbaijan, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Macedonia, Moldova,
Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Turkey, Romania.
The project "Volunteering versus Unemployment" represents a continuation of the efforts made
by Kasta Morrely Organization and its international partners for raising the awareness
about the importance of volunteering as a way to form future leaders and combat
the unemployment through the development
of the necessary competences for employability on the European labour market.
The activities
of the training were implemented through non-formal methods, in which the
participants were actively involved. There were used methods such as
brainstorming, role play, case study, team games, debates, interactive
presentations, energizers, workshops, practical exercises, visits. The variety
of methods was completed with sessions sustained by multi qualified trainers
through which the participants were given specialty knowledge and practical
information on the trainings themes.
The project
was prepared and coordinated by a multiqualified trainers team, human resources
inspectors, project managers, psychologists, professional competences
evaluators, master of ceremony, event organizers, socio-educative animators,
etc with experience and performances recognized at international level.
At the end of
the project, the participants received Youthpass certificates generated by the
European Commission, which certify at
European Level the competences that the participants developed through the
Volunteering versus Unemployment Project.
